A fairy tale is a story of dreaming enchantment of a maiden asleep for a century, of tiny figures dressed in flower petals floating on a butterfly's wings. Such images have long fascinated children and poets, and the books of Michael Hague (American, b. 1948) combine paintings of the fairy's world with poems that complement them. In this calendar, twelve such paintings are accompanied by passages from the writings of Keats, Milton, and other chroniclers of fairy lore.
