Plant Equipment Are you certain that not oni of your competitors has here or there in his plant a more efficient machine, or a better grouping of machines or a superior arrangement of handling his product from one machine to another, or from one department to another? Have you the expert tool men to handle this important phase of a manufacturing plant; men who are not only mechanical engineers capable of creating A-l tool designs, but are also able excutives in manipulating tool departments? Are new or changed designs checked by' the shop Mechanical Department to concur with the Engineering Department that such designs or changes are accepted from a manufacturing standpoint at the start--to eliminate troubles and snags after work is in process? These and many other pertinent questions may well be considered by Modern Management, in order to apply permanent remedies and avoid temporary or expedient, make-shift methods, which, after all, do not apply a real "stay put" correction.
