Description

In all his time during training, Ralph never anticipated getting kidnapped and then interrogated by an "oppressed" Muslim woman...and yet fate always had a way of playing games with him. When TWO WORLDS collide... When PREJUDICE and HATRED distort one's reality... In a game of LIFE and DEATH... Who will SURVIVE? Ten years after the occurrence of a World War Three, entire countries got wiped out and now there are only three more Muslim populated countries left: Jalawar, Malawar, and Kalawar. With the end of the third war, people are left immensely apprehensive and the fight for terrorism has become much more fierce. "Faceless" is the tale of a young American soldier who after accidentally being involved in a ploy created by the "Kill Team," a group of soldiers who get a thrill from killing civilians, finds himself a captive in the house of several vengeful Jalawan men and an interrogator who proves women are anything but weak in times of war. When 18-year-old American bred, Jalawan, Reema who is still struggling to move over her grief from losing her father and on a quest to seek redemption, meets ROTC student Ralph, who is struggling to prove himself to his father and avenge his sisters untimely death at the hands of the Wasari (the world's most nefarious terrorist organization)-- perception, reality, and misdirected hatred intermingle in the small, insurgent ruled village of Kendiha, Jalawar.show more

About A S Hamid

Aaisha is an American born, Muslim woman of Pakistani descent. She is currently a fourth year pre-law student at the University of Louisville pursuing a BA in Psychology, Political Science, and English, a BS in Sociology, a minor in Creative Writing, and working towards attaining her undergraduate certificate in peace, justice and conflict transformation. She began writing at an early age and completed her first unpublished book at the age of 9. Faceless: Two Worlds Collide is her first published social justice/fiction novel which she began writing when she was 17, and after a period of research and conducting interviews, published at the age of 19. Aaisha was inspired to write the book after a news story came out that dealt with the war in Afghanistan with two vastly different interpretations of it on American and Pakistani news stations. The varying reactions from friends and family made her feel compelled to write a book that explored both sides on the matter.show more
