Erik H ker (born March 4, 1952) is a Norwegian alpine skier from Oppdal who finished 5th in the men's downhill at the 1972 Winter Olympics at Sapporo. That same year, H ker became the first Norwegian to win a World Cup Alpine event. He would win two more World Cup events, his last in 1979. For his Alpine World Cup success, H ker earned the Holmenkollen medal in 1979. (Shared with Ingemar Stenmark and Raisa Smetanina.) H ker is one of only eleven non-Nordic skiers to ever win the Holmenkollen medal (Stein Eriksen, King Haakon VII, Boghild Niskin, Inger Bj rnbakken, Astrid Sandvik, King Olav V, Jacob Vaage, King Harald V, and Queen Sonja (all from Norway); and Stenmark (Sweden) are the others.).show more
