Eric Edward Dorman-Smith (24 July 1895 - 11 May 1969), later de-Anglicised to Eric Edward Dorman O'Gowan, was a British Army soldier who served in World War II. His youngest brother Reginald was a British MP, Minister of Agriculture in 1939 and later the Governor of Burma between 1940 and 1946.He was born in Bellamont Forest, Cootehill, County Cavan, Ireland, and educated at Uppingham School, Rutland.
