Between the late 1970s and 2001, the passenger service to Germany stopped, this station didn't exist before 2001. The line to Gronau was re-opened in 2001. The station is operated by Deutsche Bahn and Prignitzer Eisenbahn. According to the 2005 RailPro survey in the Netherlands, this station is the least used station in the Netherlands, with an average of just 57 passengers per day.
