Description

"Everyone's a critic," or so they say. But in the era of self-publishing, it turns out everyone's a writer instead. And given the state of some self-pub texts, maybe a little prior healthy criticism would have helped. Where can writers go to build each other's skills? How can a reader provide solid advice and constructive feedback? What should one look for--and not worry about--when critiquing another's writing? Based on David's experience in a healthy and helpful critique group, this A-to-Z handbook reminds writers of pitfalls to avoid and guides 'critters' new and old through the critique process. Three bonus chapters cover how to organize an ideal writing exchange or improve an existing critique group.show more

About David M Williamson

When not writing fantasy and science fiction, David Williamson is a U.S. Air Force enlisted aircrew flyer with over twenty years on active duty. His first novel, Not to the Swift, touches on themes of racial tension and reconciliation, and is available online. He also has five short personal stories published in God Still Leads and Guides, a compilation by Mark Littleton. David is a husband to his amazing wife Jami and a father of four wild children ranging from toddler to teens. He is also a Christian songwriter, worship leader, pianist, and coffee fiend. After much cajoling and encouragement from his wife, David's first-draft fantasy novel is undergoing revision and will be released later this year.
