Electronic Engine Controls 1998: Sensors, Actuators, and Development Tools
The Society's February 1998 International Congress in Detroit generated so many papers on electronic engine controls that the traditionally consolidated collection of them is divided into two volumes this year. The 21 papers here consider the influence of fuel and additives on the ion current, determining the gas-pressure torque of a multicylinder engine from measurements of the crankshaft's speed variation, modeling the radio frequency coaxial cavity plasma ignitor as an internal combustion engine ignition system, the intelligent control of hybrid vehicles using neural networks and fuzzy logic, and related topics. The other volume covers diagnostics and controls. No index. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
