As a result of a storm, RobinsonÂs boat is shipwrecked. However, he manages to reach a nearby island by using a wooden board as a float. Exhausted and soaked, he falls asleep, only to be awakened by a talking parrot. After a short conversation, the parrot leaves. Robinson decides to recover the remains of the shipwreck, including a white sail. When the parrot returns, accompanied by a fellow parrot, both birds try to tell Robinson how he can get off the island. Finally, he understands their offer: the islandÂs numerous parrots will hold the sail in their beaks with Robinson in it and thus carry him to safety.
