Science continues to insist that humans are the products of blind chemical and biological forces and that they lead meaningless lives that will ultimately end in death. The truth, however, is that unseen forces such as telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, psychokinesis, and psychic healing inexorably link humankind to the spiritual world and, however much skeptics and scientists deny the existence of these phenomena, the experiences of millions of people serve as evidence of their existence. In this study, transpersonal psychologist Charles Tart presents nearly 50 years' worth of research from some of the nation's leading universities that demonstrates the existence of natural spiritual abilities and impulses in humans. Tart draws upon this new evidence to link science and spirituality and explains why a truly rational worldview must admit the reality of the spiritual world. This book marks the beginning of a spiritual awakening that will powerfully influence the reader's understanding of the deeper forces at work in her life.

Review Text
