It is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Trustees of the Public Library of the City of Boston were organized in l852. They are incorporated under the provisions of Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1878, as amended. The Board for 1852 was a preliminary organization; that for -853 made the first annual report.
