Edwin William Carr, Jr. (born 2 September 1928) is an Australian athlete. He was a Gold medallist in the 440 yards and 4 x 440 yard relay at the 1950 British Empire Games and also competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. In 2000, a portrait of him was hung in the Archibald Prize painted by Ann Morton. The Archibald Prize is regarded as the most important portraiture prize in Australia. It was first awarded in 1921 after a bequest from J. F. Archibald, the editor of The Bulletin who died in 1919.
