The town of Quitman, county seat of Brooks county, levies four mills against the town property for the education of their children. This, added to the amount received from the State, makes per child, per year, if they live in town. But the White children living in the country districts, While receiving as much per capita from the State fund as the town children, add nothing to the State fund, (excepting in a few local tax districts), and hence have only per child per year expended upon their education.
