Merioneth devoted 180 on Technical Education given in schools of the county, while Montgomeryshire spent 250 in supplying instruction in the usual subjects of Science and Art. Pembrokeshire is content with its dairy and agricultural scholarships, tenable at the University College of Wales. Finally, Radnorshire had no money to spare for Technical Education. The Technical Instruction in Agriculture supplied by the University Colleges at Bangor and Aberystwith, in conjunction with the County Councils, consists of: --1. An advanced course in Dairying extending over six weeks for holders of County Council Scholarships. 2. A seven weeks' course of instruction for farmers' sons, who are actually engaged in farming and hold County Council Scholarships. The subjects taught include Agriculture, Chemistry, Animal Physiology, Agricultural Economics, Natural Philosophy, and a short course of Welsh. Besides these there are travelling schools at various local centres in the afiiliated counties for teaching practical Butter and Cheese-Making. The University College of North Wales has taken a notable step in the "establishment of a college farm for " experimental and teaching purposes at Lladwigan, near " Langefni. Students will in future reside upon or near " the farm, and receive practical instruction there during " one at least of the two years of the regular course. The " farm will also be used as a permanent experimental " station, and dairy teaching will be given there." The farm covers 358 acres, of which nearly one-fourth is under tillage.
