"This was a beautiful, beautiful story. Amazingly detailed, poignant, eloquently written, and the characters' voices were so . . . honest. Emotion, thoughts, and fear down to their purest form."--Maryse's Book Blog

Favourite Quote: ????????????????????????????????????¢??I learned a long time ago that it????????????????????????????????????¢??s my future and my life and I can????????????????????????????????????¢??t make myself live the way someone else wants me to live.????????????????????????????????????¢?? There was so much hype surrounding this book when it was first released that I was a little put off incase I was disappointed! However now that I have read it, I see why there was a lot of hype I really, really enjoyed it! I give it a 4/5 stars! The main thing I liked about this book was the characters! They were just so real and realistic. There????????????????????????????????????¢??s Camryn (love the way the names spelt!) who is lost and still slightly grieving for her dead boyfriend, I just felt so much empathy for her! Throughout the novel she grows and I liked her even more! She became funny, sassy and able to move forwards with life. Then there????????????????????????????????????¢??s Andrew and well I just loved him! He wasn????????????????????????????????????¢??t the perfect human by any means and that is why I liked him even more,he was sexy, funny, charming, honest and considerate! Like I said these characters were realistic, they both had good and bad in them like everybody else! As for the side characters, they weren????????????????????????????????????¢??t in the novel much but they were still interesting! As for the plot, it was steady paced and I liked how the relationship between Camryn & Andrew was gradual and not insta-love! And there was a huge twist at the end that never suspected until it happened! The reason I took a star off was because I felt the book was a little too long, it dragged just a little bit! As for the ending, I thought it wrapped things up nicely but apparently there????????????????????????????????????¢??s another novel coming out so I guess there will be more! Overall this was a really good book and I would recommend it to contemporary lovers!show more

"The heart always wins out over the mind, The heart, although reckless and suicidal and masochist all on its own, always gets its way. The mind may be what's best, but I don't give a **** what my mind is telling me anymore. Right now, I want to live in the moment. " Camryn Bennett is tired of faking it. Tired of trying to be someone she is not. She is restless, disillusioned and feeling unfulfilled. And then one day, she packs a small bag and gets on a bus. Destination - wherever. What she doesn't know is that on this bus she will meet the man that will steal her heart, and show her how beautiful life can really be. "I think if past lives are real then we have been lovers in every single one of them." This novel really grabbed a hold of my heart and pulled at its strings. This was a powerful love story. Slow and relaxed in its pace, the characters of Camryn and Andrew are so intricately developed that they truly do come alive in your mind. J. A. Redmerski explored some difficult emotions in this novel in such a believable way, that she had me laughing, smiling, and crying along with them both as I followed along on their incredible journey. And it was a wonderful journey... A journey of self discovery and awakening to the beauty around you, if only you take a moment to stop and look. Heavy hearts lightened, and love blossomed and grew. The book was wrapped up satisfactorily for me in the end. No cliffhangers, no unanswered or unresolved questions. Frankly, I didn't even realize this was part of a series, and I would be just fine not picking up the second novel. Usually I don't mean this as a compliment to a writer, but in this case, I do. I want to continue the series, not because I need answers, or there was a cliffhanger, but because the author made me fall in love with these two. It's as simple as that. Highly recommend this novel for contemporary young adult fans. Thank you publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this novel for an honest review.show more

I was quickly drawn into Camryn's world, and didn't want to look away from what she was going to do next. What sets this apart from other New Adult books is that Camryn's heartache is from a boyfriend that died in a car accident. Although I wish we'd have gone into more detail with this at the beginning to clearly get her frame of mind and reference to why she is not looking for a relationship. Her friendship and the twist that took with Natalie I did not like, but I understood, I think why it happened. I was trying to figure out how I wanted this to be fixed, but decided to just read the story and figure out how J.A. would handle it. I also didn't like how Cam compared herself to Natalie, like at times she thought she was better than her, or that thinking about sex didn't matter only thinking of lofty things did. But minorish details. Because I didn't want to put it down, I got a taste of the love interest and the way that he hinted he wanted more and the way that he treated Cam Their adventures are so captivating and I loved learning and guessing what has Andrew so withheld but totally didn't see it coming until right at the end. I loved their interactions and banter. And oh were there some steamy scenes in this one. They are like they were made for each other, their perfect match and balance. I also liked that they both learned to let go and discover who they really are with the other's help. Speaking of the end, it fooled me, broke my heart and repaired it all at the same time. It was perfect in that bittersweet way, and I can't wait for more in this world. Bottom Line: Steamy and heartbreaking but adventurous road trip and finding yourself novel.show more

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to Hachette Book Group, GRAND CENTRAL PUBLISHING, FOREVER, and Netgalley.) 20-year-old Cam has been through a lot in her life, and her best friend's boyfriend hitting on her, her best friend blaming her for it, and a lacklustre job finally push her too far, and she decides to just leave. Taking a few possessions she gets on a bus to Idaho with no real plan in mind other than to be somewhere else for a while. On the bus she meets a boy called Andrew Parrish, a boy who talks to her even when she's not interested, and saves her from a man on the bus with a proposition for her. Where is Cam really going though? What will she discover on the way? And is Andrew Parrish her future? Yikes, what to say about this book? I thought I might have to send the author hate mail at one point, but thankfully the day was saved, so Jessica - you're safe. The characters in this book were great. Cam didn't want to waste her life, and was gutsy enough to take the bull by the horns and just do something about it, and I loved Andrew's charm and his cheeky nature. There was quite a bit of sex in this book, and it was pretty steamy and good! The feelings between Cam and Andrew also built up gradually, so nothing felt rushed. I liked the romance between the two of them and they made a really sweet couple. I loved the story behind Andrew's tattoo, and I loved how being with Andrew made Cam realise some things about herself and her past relationships. The storyline was pretty good, and although it was mainly about the two of them discovering their feelings for one another and what they wanted to do with their lives there was one hell of a plot twist waiting to sucker-punch you right at the end, and that's when I had to read whilst hiding behind my fingers just in case there wasn't a happy ending! I was seriously worried there for a while! Anyway, I'm not going to spoil the ending, but let's just say that I was satisfied! Overall; a great contemporary romance. 8 out of 10.show more
