He was born on November 8, 1867 in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. He played just 1 season in the Major League Baseball, with the Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Senators in 1891 at the age of 23. Cassian had a 3-7 career record in 13 games and an ERA of 4.45. Ed died on September 10, 1918 in Meriden, Connecticut.
