Echo Digital Audio ( formerly Street Electronics) introduced their first audio interface Echo 2 for the Apple II in 1980 to provide speech output for the blind, educational, and handicapped markets. In the 1990s Echo went on to design and manufacture one of the first multi-track audio recording product for the PC and Mac markets. Echo has licensed its DSP-based audio technology to several leading audio and semiconductor companies including: Gibson Guitar, Analog Devices, HP, Sony, Motorola, Peavey, Mackie, Carvin, and Dolby more
