About Ella Durham
Ella Durham was born in Sunderland. After a lengthy career in the UK's Department of Work and Pensions, she moved to Spain in 2003 to work in a refuge for abandoned animals on the Costa Del Sol. Ella retired in 2006 to concentrate on her writing. In 2009, she won the Fiction Writing Competition for Olive Country Life Magazine and subsequently became the resident short story writer for two magazines: The Andalucian and, later, Inland Solutions. Black Coffey Publishing published some of her work as part of its 'Leaving Home' e-book collection. Ella has had a passion for imaginative writing since the age of eight. She is a keen reader, a collector of antique glass, loves animals, travelling, following men's tennis, cooking, good wine and all things horsey. Ella and her husband, Dave, live on the coast in Andalucia and share their home with their two rescued dogs, Johny and Rio. Ebony Blood in her first novel. 'Ella Durham' is a pseudonym.
