Dyson Racing is a professional sports car racing team based in Poughkeepsie, New York in the United States. Founded by Rob Dyson in 1974, the team is one of the longest-running and most successful privateer racing organizations. Over the years, it has competed in IMSA GTO and GTP, SCCA Trans-Am, Grand-Am, and CART. Rob Dyson has since retired from day-to-day operations, leaving control to his son Chris. During the 2009 season, the team competed in the LMP2 class of the American Le Mans Series with Mazda Lola B08/80s, employing Chris Dyson, Butch Leitzinger, Guy Smith, and Marino Franchitti as drivers. Chris Dyson and Guy Smith shared the team's #16 entry, while Butch Leitzinger and Marino Franchitti pilot car #20. Ben Devlin joined the #20 team for the 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans.show more
