Excerpt from The Dublin Journal of Medical and Chemical Science, 1835, Vol. 7: Exhibiting a Comprehensive View of the Latest Discoveries in Medicine, Surgery, Chemistry, and the Collateral Sciences
Having anxiously watched over the infant struggles of the dublin Jouausn, and seen it, after but a brief adolescence, take a place amongst the Medical Periodicals of Europe, creditable to our coun try, and highly gratifying to its supporters; a position which I hope to see it long occupy, and to the maintaining of which I shall always be happy to contribute in every way in my power, I terminate my Editorial labours by giving publicity to my resignation, and to the future arrangements of the Journal. The succeeding numbers will be edited by my former colleagues, Dr. Graves, Dr. Stokes, and Mr. Porter.
