Description

Mo Willems' acclaimed picture book debut in a brand new board book format.

When a bus driver takes a break in this hilarious Caldecott Honor-winning picture book, he gives the reader just one instruction: "Don't let the pigeon drive the bus!" But, boy, that pigeon tries every trick in the book to get in that driving seat: he whines, wheedles, fibs and flatters. Will you let him drive? Told entirely in speech bubbles, this brilliantly original and funny picture book demands audience participation!

Review quote

If there's a living creator of children's books who stands a chance of occupying a cultural position akin to a Dr Seuss or a Charles M. Schulz, it's Mr Willems * The New York Times * There is no such thing as a bad Mo Willems book * The Times * This brilliant story...manages to be beautiful to look at and funny to read, as well as requiring active audience participation. * Guardian * A raucous, zany, skit of a picture book...a masterful way of channelling a toddler's high spirits * Telegraph *
