Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The DO-IT Scholars program is a project of the DO-IT Center. The program accepts, accommodates, and prepares young people with a wide range of disabilities including Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, Learning disability, Mental disorder, Developmental disability, and Physical Disability for college. The Scholars program was originally funded by the National Science Foundation and accepted students nationally. Now the Scholars program accepts Washington State high school students and is primarily funded by the state of Washington and gifts from corporations. It inspired the University of Tokyo in Japan to start its own version of the program - DO-IT Japan has 40 scholars. Several groups in South Korea are also interested in implementing a DO-IT program.
