Underwater explorer and ambassador for the ocean Dr. Sylvia A. Earle, named a Hero for the Planet by Time magazine, is well known for inspiring young people with her enthusiasm for the sea and its inhabitants. Children will follow along as the author goes ever deeper into the unknown, walking the seafloor in a diving suit named Jim and cruising in her submersible, Deep Rover.
