In the last installment of the Dillon's War series, CIA operative Dave Duryee continues to track by satellite the mythical weretiger-a magical beast that shapeshifts into human form-in its lair deep in the jungle of Laos. While the war with Vietnam winds down and US servicemen and women head home, Dave longs to return to the region. His buddy Mike is locked in weretiger form, and Dave may be his only shot at rescue. When Dave receives orders transferring him to Bangkok, he wastes no time joining forces with Claude, the mysterious security manager of the station. Together the two men hatch a plan to parachute into the Laotian jungle. They arrive at the Special Forces camp during the height of a siege by enemy guerrilla fighters and find Dr. Mary Leary, an American physician with the elixir needed to save Mike. But as combat escalates and the Laotian jungle exerts its magical forces on the men, David and Claude must fight to find Mike before it's too late for all of them. Set against a lushly dangerous tropical backdrop, Weretiger's Deliverance will delight Vietnam vets and keep all readers turning the page.show more
