Many of us communicate through social media and networking channels every day, and while it can be positive, the ways we use it can sometimes be emotionally destructive. We are mostly navigating social media blindly; there are currently few concrete social norms to provide direction. This book is the product of a collaborative feminine project. It presents twelve true and anonymous stories of women who have courageously shared how social media has affected their relationships and break ups. The ending of a relationship is a difficult time and social media often adds another layer of complexity. These deeply personal and experiential narratives come in the form of poetry, spoken word, essays and reflections.Journey through these women’s raw and sometimes linguistically gritty stories of love, lust, “likes” and breaking up… questions of whether to “follow”, “block” or “mute”, cyber-stalk or lurk, hash-tag, tweet or post a meme… these make up our experiences of digital entanglement and social media.
