He played parts of five seasons for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1951 until 1955, mostly as a third baseman, but also at shortstop and second base. He never played in more than 29 games in a season, nor did he ever have a batting average higher than .174. Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, consisting of teams that play in the National League and the American League.
