Description

What is the purpose of a constitution? This title shows how a democratic constitution helps diverse people, with opposing ethical and religious commitments, to live together on terms of mutual respect. In areas ranging from impeachment to equality, a good constitution promotes democratic ideals by ensuring reason-giving, by promoting exposure to diverse views, and by prohibiting second-class citizenship.show more
