Our customer reviews
I am always on the lookout for books that serve as devotional books and/or Christian growth books. I was unfamiliar with this particular author, and I didn't know what to expect. I was quite impressed to discover how readable this book was, and it was also practical. All the theology in the book is on target, as far as I am concerned, and the author made it very relatable. His retelling of the "Prodigal Son" truly resonated with me, and I even told my mom about portions of that parable I had not previously considered. One thing that truly impressed me were the personal examples the author shared. Normally in these kinds of books, the author will only share examples where everything turned out the way it should have. Not so with this author! He shared countless examples where the person did not do the right thing. He was careful to point out the fallacies of these choices, and it made me feel like the author was a normal person rather than a "super spiritual Christian." In other words, what the author spoke about is attainable for the average, ordinary person like me. If you are looking for a book that is easy to read but will certainly inspire and encourage you in your Christian faith, this is a book I can highly recommend. I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.show moreby Ruth Hill
