Deserting the Hessian Army : The Brought Family Coming to America
Based on a true story of David Brought being conscripted into the Hessian Army, and then sent to America to fight during the Revolution. This story tells the basics of how he got drafted and the build up to why he deserts. David survives three battles and is later captured during the battle of Trenton, on December 26th 1776. As a POW he is first sent to Lancaster Pennsylvania and later when he decides to desert he is moved to Juanita County were he sets up a farm and business. Seven years after the war is over he finally gets his family to join him.
