About Antony Baldwin

Antony Baldwin was born in London. His early years were spent as a choirboy at Southwark Cathedral, London. At the age of 17, he was awarded the Associateship Diploma of the Royal College of Organists, winning the prize for harmony and counterpoint, and earned the Fellowship a year later. He studied at the Universities of Oxford and Durham, and afterwards embarked upon a career in teaching, organ-playing and choir-training. Baldwin has made regular visits to the United States as a recitalist and formed his own chamber choir in California. He is currently Organist at the American Church in London.show more

Review quote

'The volume offers a useful adjunct to the hymnal and will certainly enrich congregational singing; equally, for church choirs looking to refresh their hymn singing, Baldwin's descants will be welcomed. Throughout, OUP's high production standards are in evidence.' Choir & Organ, November/December 07show more
