About MR Alex M Adelson

Alex or "Zandy" as he was called growing up, was born and raised in the town of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, birthplace of Little League Baseball. He currently resides in the Catskill Mountains in New York with his wife of more than 50 years where he enjoys playing one of his favorite roles as "dad" and "grandpa." Professionally, Alex is known for his work as an entrepreneur and technologist. He graduated from Muhlenberg College with a degree in Natural Science and has worked as an applied physicist, holding over 90 patents in some of the most widely used products. He began his career at Razdow Labs, a think tank devoted to NASA projects. Alex is considered the 'Father' of Monolithic Switch Technology which is used globally in products such as microwave ovens, telephones, mobile phones, cash registers and more. He conceived and developed the first machine to print bar code masters and was an essential part of the team that developed the first portable bar code scanner. Alex has been a founder and member of the executive leadership of 5 companies of which 4 were acquired or taken public.
