Death Note: Another Note (Novel)
There's a serial killer on the loose in Los Angeles and the local authorities need help fast. For some reason the killer has been leaving a string of maddeningly arcane clues at each crime scene. Each of these clues, it seems, is an indecipherable roadmap to the next murder. Onto the scene comes L, the mysterious super-sleuth. Despite his peculiar working habits - he's never shown his face in public, for example - he's the most decorated detective in the world and has never tackled a cased he hasn't been able to crack. But this time he needs help. Enlisting the services of an FBI agent named Naomi Misora, L starts snooping around the City of Angels. It soon becomes apparent that the killing spree is a psychotic riddle designed specifically to engage L in a battle of wits. Stuck in the middle between killer and investigator, it's up to Misora to navigate both the dead bodies and the egos to solve the Los Angeles BB Murder Cases.

"Though some may point out some 'flaws' in this story, if you put your mind to it you'll find all these holes can be filled with a little Death Note knowlege, I recommend any fan to read, I guarantee you'll find some aspects most unexpected."show moreby a Book Depository customer
"Chances are if your a Death Note fan, you already know about this title. But for those few that dont, this is pretty much right up your ally. The main detective from the Death Note series was well regarded as a man who had solved many cases, and this book is one of his previous cases, Known as the Beyond Birthday case. This case was mentioned briefly in the main series, as well as mentioning that L worked alongside Naomi Misora, who as you would expect is involved with this case. The puzzles are very well thought out and designed so that the reader can make predictions as the story develops, which I found rather unique. Overall this is a good novel, but I would not suggest any one unfamiliar with the Death Note series to read this, as many elements of it can only be explained through the original story. Future Death Note fans should also wait until after they read or watch the series to read this, as it mentions several key events in the main series through whilst the Narrator is contemplating things rather than noting what is going on. 4 out of 5, missing a star due to the fact not any one can pick this up and read it."show moreby a Book Depository customer
"Ok, for those of you who are die hard fans of death note, i completely recommend this book. i read it in one day, and afterwards i couldn't get it out of my head. The story gives a complete twist at the very end, it's awesome. However, if you're fairly new to death note, and/or not very good at remembering death note facts (the important ones about the characters) then you might find yourself getting a bit confused at times. But like i said, if you are a die hard fan, i fully recommend it. it's worth the money and the art is beautiful- as usual."show moreby a Book Depository customer
