Leigh is Professor Emerita of Psychology at Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C., and has an extensive record of research, publications, and presentations in the areas of depression, psychosocial adjustment, parenting, attachment, identity, and cochlear implants. Jean F. Andrews is Professor Emerita of Deaf Studies/Deaf Education at Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas, where she has taught and conducted research in language and literacy for deaf students across the lifespan.
