The Learner's Books offer an outcomes-based approach to learning with integrated viewing, reading, writing, listening and talking activities. Emphasis is placed on the development of thinking skills and communication, through pairwork and groupwork and exposure to language appropriate to different contexts. In addition there are many opportunities for continuous assessment.Activities throughout the Activity Books help learners develop thinking skills, visual literacy and fine motor co-ordination as well as facilitate group teaching.The easy-to-use Teacher's Guides provide continuous assessment suggestions throughout as well as lesson guidelines and ideas to make learning fun. It also highlights enrichment activities (both for support and extension purposes). The supplementary Sunny Day Readers are enjoyable and brightly illustrated stories making reading stimulating and fun, as well as helping to build vocabulary. They include pre- and post-reading activities which provide excellent opportunities for learners to read on their own, in pairs and in groups.
