Description

Author Larry R. Lee describes the following scene when asked why he chose to write The Day of Darkness, Night of Destruction: "In 2005 my wife, Nadia, and I were living in Pinon Hills, California. Each morning when I got up I would get a cup of coffee, take my Bible and go outside to have some quiet time. I looked forward to watching the sun come up. As it became brighter and brighter, more of the valley came into view. One day while having my quiet time and looking at the beautiful valley below, something flashed before me. It was what I had read about in Matthew, chapter 4, when Satan and Jesus were on a mountain. "Satan said to Jesus, if you will worship me I will give to you all the nations 'people.' I remember thinking how happy I was that Jesus said no. "As I was sitting there that morning, watching the sun come up, something appeared before me saying that I ought to write something about Jesus. I was reminded of what Jesus had said, that 'some the sun will be covered by a cloud, ' and that the theme of my book must be 'The Day of Darkness.' That night as I watched the sun set to the west, I saw lights about forty miles away twinkling in the sky. It was beautiful! And when I then saw the moon it reminded me that Jesus had said that one day the moon will be covered with blood. Those words prompted the second theme of my book, 'Night of Destruction.' Thus it was with these two themes in mind that I wrote this book."show more
