David Capurso is an American film director and screen writer (May 24, 1969) who has directed several cin ma v rit, on-location, character-driven independent films and music videos in the United States, France, Germany and Puerto Rico. Capurso's first short, Emily's Song established his early surrealist stance, becoming a cult hit and quickly being picked up for distribution by Indie Film Producer Gill Holland. The film was nominated by IndieWire as one of the best short films in the Cineblast Vol. 3 compilation. Emily's Song competed in the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, Florida International Film Festival, and The Hudson Valley Film Festival. The fifteen minute 35 mm film was shot in Hell's Kitchen New York City and starred Lene Laub Oksen, Barbara Haas, Roberto Chalu and George Jay Wienbarg.show more
