Born David Kirkpatrick Sale on August 21, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri, Dave Sale is an American Singer-Songwriter who achieved notability as "Camus" with his top-40 hit "U Who" from 1997's "Sins of The Father" a release on Atlantic Records which also had a song featured on Baywatch episode "Out of the Blue" alongside Cindy Lauper. In this respect his music has been heard by over 1 billion people. In this project he had the opportunity to collaborate with notable Producers David Kahne and Kevin Killin. A direct descendant of the Dutch who settled New Amsterdam, his parents were intellectuals at Cornell University. Sale has been called "the Bob Dylan for the junque generation"; previous to the Camus project, Sale was active in New Orleans operating the successful "Street Records," an indie label featuring local and regional new and indigenous musicfrom 1992-97. He also produced, engineered or consulted on projects for diverse musicians such as Rowland Howard, Willie Deville, Winton and Branford Marsalis and BeauSoleil to name a few during this period.show more
