Originally drafted by the Texas Rangers in 1980, he did not make his major league debut until ten years later. He pitched two games for the Kansas City Royals in 1990, then continued to pitch in the minor leagues in 1995, finishing his career with the Columbus Clippers in the New York Yankees farm system. Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, consisting of teams that play in the National League and the American League. The two leagues merged in 2000 into a single MLB organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball after 100 years as separate legal entities.
