16-year-old Paige can see and talk to ghosts, something that has led to her being bullied at school. When she is then attacked by a demon, and has to save a demon hunter from being killed, Paige is about to find out that there is much more to her than talking to ghosts.
Why can Paige talk to ghosts? And why are there demons after her?
This was an okay story, but I did lose interest at the end.
Paige was a good main character, and I liked how she wasn’t afraid to be herself. She stuck up for herself against the popular girls, and even tried to protect people who weren’t necessarily her friend, just because she thought they needed help. I also liked the way she referred to Dotty as her best friend, even though she was a ghost.
I liked the storyline in this, and I really liked it up to the 60% mark. I liked that the story was believable, and that Paige didn’t immediately believe what she was told. There were a few twists and surprises, and on the whole this was an enjoyable story.
There was some romance, and I liked how Paige didn’t immediately fall all over Logan.
The ending was okay, although it did end with a huge cliff-hanger, for some reason the second half of this book just didn’t hold my interest the way the first half did.
Overall; okay story, but the first half was better than the second half.
