And in all this the young man, as naked now as Adam to Eve, or shorn Samson to Delilah, had been given absolute freedom of intercourse with a young and pretty girl who openly admired him--her standards of comparison were limited in number and in kind--and who to him was an incarnation of all that charmed him in the new kind of life. And he was right in this.
