Daniel (Danny) Syrkin (B. 4 March 1971, Moscow, Russia) is an Israeli cinema and TV director and screen-writer. Syrkin moved to Jerusalem, Israel, in his childhood. He was first exposed to acting while attending the Ren Cassin French high school, where he participated in the Katron drama program. After graduating high school, in 1989, Syrkin was an IDF officer. Syrkin graduated the Tel-Aviv University's School of Cinema. As a thesis project at the School of Cinema, he directed the short movie And Now Rachmanino, Achshav Rachmaninov, 1998) that won a price in a film festival in Italy.
