Daniel Martin (born 20 August 1986) is an Irish racing cyclist who currently rides for Garmin-Cerv lo. In 2004 he was the British National Junior Road Race Champion, before deciding to ride for Ireland. His brother Tom will ride for the UC Aubenas squad in 2009. He is a nephew of 1987 triple crown winner Stephen Roche, and a cousin of fellow pro cyclist Nicolas Roche. Martin rose to prominence by winning the 2008 Route du Sud stage race and becoming the Irish National Road Race Champion in his first season as a professional. He reached a career high UCI World Ranking of 35th (with 137 points) at the end of 2009 season. In 2010 he won UCI ProTour stage race Tour of Poland.
