Description

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Dario Jos dos Santos (born 4 March 1943 in Rio de Janeiro), nicknamed Dario, or Dad Maravilha (Wonder Dad ) is a former Brazilian footballer. He played as a center-forward, and as of 2006, is the 3rd top scorer in the history of Brazilian football, trailing Pel and Rom rio. Born into poverty, Dad began his career in 1965, playing in the youth squad of Campo Grande, a small and modest club with no great history in Rio. His style and talent caught the eye of a scout working for Atl tico Mineiro, a large and very traditional club from the state of Minas Gerais, who signed him in 1968. In 1969 his prestige was so great that then Brazilian President Em lio Garrastazu M dici asked coach M rio Zagallo to call Dad to join the national team going to the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.show more
