Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Croydon is a railway station located on the main suburban line in the Sydney suburb of Croydon. It is served by CityRail's Inner West and South lines, with the Northern, Western and Blue Mountains lines passing through it. The station is accessed via Meta Street, where the concorse, ticket office, and a small store are located above the platforms. Croydon Station was originally opened as Five Dock Station in 1875, but its name was changed to Croydon in August, 1876. The Main Suburban Railway Line through Croydon was quadruplicated in 1892, and sextuplicated in 1927 in association with electrification works.
