What is Creative Writing? In Critical Approaches to Creative Writing, Graeme Harper draws on decades of his own experience to look at both what creative writing is, and how it can be better understood. Harper explores how to critically examine creative works, while also teaching the reader how to improve their own writing. Throughout the book, Harper explains the unique method of `creative exposition', where creative writing is closely and directly examined in practice as well as through its results, offering a refreshing and ground breaking way of undertaking creative writing as a discipline.

This book aims to empower you to develop your own creative exposition so that you can consider any creative writing situations you face, develop knowledge that can overcome compositional problems, provide you with more creative choices, and assist you in building your creative writing strengths.
