Craig Schurig (born March 2, 1965) is the current head football coach for Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and he held that position since the 2002 season. He is the 40th person to hold the post. As of the 2007 season, his overall coaching record at Washburn was 40 wins, 29 losses, and 0 ties. He is known for turning around a once losing program to a winning program. Schurig has led the Washburn football program to a new level after building on a 2004 Mineral Water Bowl Championship. The Ichabods posted their first NCAA Division II Playoff appearance as well as Washburn's first MIAA Championship in 2005.
