Description

Welcome back to Jubilee, Texas, where New York Times bestselling author Lori Wilde romantically pairs a beautifully princess with Texas royalty: a rugged, totally hot, real-live cowboy! Wilde's Jubilee novels celebrate homespun, small-town love--a treat for readers of the contemporary romance fiction of Sherryl Woods, Susan Wiggs and Susan Mallery--and her sexy cowboy heroes are sure to make Linda Lael Miller fans swoon. Nobody can resist these handsome, muscular, outdoorsy American icons, especially not the royal runaway bride in The Cowboy and the Princess, who unexpectedly finds her heart's true desire in blue jeans smack-dab in the middle of America's Southwest. You won't want to miss the fireworks when these two worlds romantically collide!

Brady Talmadge was a cowboy with five unbreakable rules:
1) Never pick up a pretty hitchhiker
2) Avoid damsels in distress
3) Never order chili at a truck stop
4) Always trust your gut
5) Never tell a lie . . .

This is what happened when he broke all his rules . . . and got into a whole lot of trouble!

On the run from an arranged marriage, Princess Annabella of Monesta dons the guise of a hitchhiking cowgirl. But when she finds herself drenched, alone, and hungry, she has no choice but to trust the tall Texas horse whisperer who offers her a ride. He's like no one she's ever known--a strong sexy man who says just what he thinks. And when one wild kiss leaves her breathless, she quickly realizes she'll give up everything to spend a lifetime of night times in his arms. But how can there be happily-ever-after with palace guards hot on her trail?

Our customer reviews

Slightly cheesy at the beginning, The Cowboy and the Princess is a book that grows on you until you can't put it down. This delightful mix of The Horse Whisperer and Roman Holiday make for a fun cowboy story. Princess Annabella of Monesta has 6 weeks until she weds a balding, playboy prince who she is betrothed to. She and her dog Lady Astor escape the life of luxury and are rescued by a cowboy named Brady Talmadge and his dog. He ends up buying her chili at a truck stop and then taking them with him to Jubilee, TX where he has a job to work with a horse that was injured. Annie (Princess Annabella) soon settles in and gets her own place and a job in town. She and Brady slowly fall for each other but the secret she is keeping comes in between them. This sweet, lighthearted read has a twist at the end that I was not expecting. The romance was a bit slow paced but I fell in love with characters and their dogs! The Cowboy and the Princess is the second in the Jubilee, Texas series. I have not read the first in the series but I never felt that I was missing anything. This is a great standalone book and I recommended it to anyone who loves a cowboy romance!show more
