Tyler Beard is a native Texan, so, naturally, grew up in a boots-and-hat environment. At age three, he received his first pair of red-and-green Christmas boots, a gift from his parents--"the pair that started it all." Tyler and his wife, Teresa, are considered the foremost experts on AmericanWest style. Tyler is the author of Lone Star Living: Texas Homes and Ranches (2003). JimArndt is a nationally recognized advertising and editorial photographer. He maintains studios in Santa Fe and Minneapolis and shoots for clients such as Wrangler, Chevrolet, and Harley-Davidson. His personal work has also been exhibited in galleries in Santa Fe, Taos, and Austin. He continues to travel the West, working on his personal photos and collecting cowboy boots.
