It is biased in no such way, however, and is in fact a remarkably exhaustive treatise of the most practical sort. In addition to an elementary description of all types of supply, drainage and ventilating apparatus, the author has brought together tables, formulae and other valuable data, all of which are based on scientific investigation and the best practice. Altogether, the work is an excellent handbook for architects, engineers and plumbers, or for any homebuilder who is ambitious enough to design his own plumbing system. The Haunters of the Silences.
