Corofin(Cora Finne in Irish) is a village and parish in County Galway, Ireland, situated on the N17 road between Galway city and Tuam. Corofin Castle is approximately 700 years old although is partly in ruins. Corofin has an illustrious history in Gaelic football with Corofin GAC having been crowned All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship winners in 1998. They have won 13 Galway Senior Football Championship titles from 1932, 1946, 1977, 1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2006, 2008 and 2009. Their team of the nineties was the most successful, winning the county title five times and the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. This was followed by five more wins during the noughties.
